Salad time in Wasilla, Alaska zone 4b this was last July. With 20 hours of sun in June stuff grows fast!

Wow.....I do remember that. I lived in Kenai, Alaska many many years ago and my mother had a garden each summer. I remember how fast everything grew and and how big everything got! 🙂 😉

Your garden?

Yes - that's my garden

@FrostyJim Beautiful. Looks like you are feeding dozens! - When you live alone half a dozen lettuce last all season when eaten 8 leaves at a time. ?

@FrayedBear I enjoy big dinner salads - and only the 2 front rows are lettuce - the rest is Kale that I cook and freeze for winter soups...

@FrostyJim we often eat baby kale raw as a salad.

@FrayedBear so do I - it is so easy, prolific, and frost tolerant - I grow plenty for salads and to cook and freeze for winter.
