K9khol asked an interesting question . She wanted to know how I learn about a specific stock. The brokerage software I use has an option called research. Once I get to that page , there are charts and graphs and below those , there are daily comments from analyists. The analyists are not owned by the brokerage , so may be available through a Google search . I rather like one called Zach. There you can find out what a specific company , for instance , is doing in the near future .For instance , a Tech company may be presenting ad\t an upcoming seminar, may be having an upcoming dividend , may be having a big change in upper personnel, a dividend split, buying or merging with another company. All these affect the prices of the stock in the immediate future.
