As previously pointed out , in February , the tech stocks crashed . I noted there was a highly published shortage of rare earth chips , due at least in part to the facts that most of the rare earth used to create the chips is mined in China , and Trump , visiting there , had a major little boy standoff over trade issues . Many sold off short in order to save as much of their earnings as possible , then reinvested their funds elsewhere . Sadly some took a major loss but hopefully make up their losses elsewhere . I had invested the largest part of my funds at a rather high cost , but had held nearly half of my funds in reserve . As the stock curve dumped and reached what I thought at the time was the lowest it was going to go , I pulled out my reserve and bought more at a much lower price . Unfortunately , it continued to nose dive . Now , in April , I've noticed more general goods in the stores are showing made in China labels , and the tech stocks are rising , While it hadn't reached profit for both purchases , the combined buys became profitable a little while back . This morning Nvda introduced a new , more powerful chip and their stock soared agai , up another fifteen dollars per share . My investment jumped nearly seven thousand dollars this morning . Very happy puppy today .
congrats on your staying power.
it helps to be young enough to endure these cycles. i no longer have that luxury.
