Computers are based on binary , like an on /off switch . A light bulb is either turned on or turned off . Some groups are working with quibits . It's like using the entire alphabet and numbers , instead of just 0's and 1's . This would greatly increase the speed of data research . I think Google and IBM , which are already working with this research would be a likely long term investment .
