With the government's plan to dump money into the economy , a lot of investors have bought stocks to get in on the increase in investments . In my humble opinion , I think this is a short term buy in order to take advantage of a short turn around , and as soon as they can take a profit , they will be selling off again . Yes , there will be investors making a profit on this temporary Federal gift , but I don't see it lasting very long . Since my own skills are still minor , I would be concerned about buying and then later selling at a lose , except maybe for Walmarts . I've noticed in earlier financial cut backs , that while a lot of the more expensive stores don't do well , Walmart is cheap . When folks are short on cash , Walmarts seems to hold it's own .
you might be right. but many investors are looking at the tsunami of money about to be loosed by the Fed + all the funds from the fiscal side. that money will need to find a home.
i got lucky & did some buying yesterday (Mon). some big winners, in particular Chevron which was up 22% today.
i expect the stocks i bought today to retrace some gains but will try to hold my nerve & buy more at lower prices.
Posted by Cast1esReal estate can be a good way to invest , even if it's only the home you live in , but sometimes , there are unexpected costs .
