I no more chose to be gay than I did to be white or be male or a black person chose to be black or an Asian chose to be Asian et al. Some things are intrinsic.
I chose the color to paint my kitchen, I chose when I went to bed last evening, I chose the pair of pants Im wearing, I chose my past bf, I chose my place of residence, but I didn't choose my siblings and I didn't choose to live in the nation I was born in, although I like my national heritage and the European heritage my past generations gave me. Some things in life are chosen and other things just happen. Get it!
There are studies which ironically came out of the homophobic USSR, which showed that high levels of stress in the second trimester of the mother's pregnancy made it much more likely that the child would be gay.
Later studies showed that meta genetic "switches" get flipped during pregnancy which seem to determine sexual orientation.
It seems whether or not a person is gay is determined before birth. So, there really isn't any actual choice involved.
The welfare belt, the STD belt, the teen pregnancy belt. So many belts. Do they have enough pants?
