Hi, just ran across this group. I was raised almost bilingual with French, and can understand some German and Dutch. I learned Arabic from my ex-husband's family, have two semesters of American Sign Language, and I'm currently learning Spanish.

People don't seem to have much to say in this group - maybe waiting to see how it turns out? Anybody else love languages simply qua languages? I love Finnish - such a silly language somehow, having to make all their words out of not enough letters....

I’m trying to teach myself Brazilian Portuguese. I’m using a couple of apps and I have sung a couple of songs in Portuguese on the karaoke app Smule. It’s going so slow.
