Has anyone else enjoyed the Disney movie CoCo ? I have seen it 4 times, another member recommended it.
I have only seen it twice. So far. I don't know anyone who didn't cry but I started early, when Mama Imelda first sang La Llorona and told how she didn't always hate music. This is not just a kiddie 'toon. It is, of course, even more meaningful for those of us who know the Mexican culture and understand, for example, about the chancla. The Nahuatl word cempazuchitl was used once for marigold which was a sacred flower to the Mexica (Aztec). But you don't need to know anything about Mexico or the Day of the Dead to enjoy this movie.
