Uh some Satanic metal certainly believes in "satan." By default as an agnostic/atheist, i do not believe in supernatural beings including satan. There are a couple dozen "satanic" beliefs among black metal performers rannging from total atheism to much supernatural. I've looked into this a bit being quite uncomfortable with some of the more extreme black metal acts: the ones that are racist, behind Fantoft Stave Chuch building destruction, have abused animals and worse. The perpetrators of these acts/ calls to action ranged considerably in their spirituality or lack thereof.

I don't think a whole lot of Satanists actually believe in Satan either. If you've seen the Hail Satan? documentary on the Satanic Temple, one member put it best when he said he'd been an atheist for a long time until realizing that just wasn't enough. Satanism is more about trolling the xtians than actually believing in their devil.
