The parents ignored too many signs, they were very negligent.
It's a terrible world we live in when you can be charged with someone else's crimes. Imagine going to jail because your mentally ill relative took your vehicle and ran someone over or killed someone with a kitchen knife or used a tool from your garage to hurt someone. Must we lock up every item that's capable of hurting/killing? Imagine taking responsibility for your own actions.
