Another video explaining the evolution of the Tesla battery.

@altschmerz I've explored the 'alleged" shortage projected.

These shortages were first attacked by posting images of open-pit copper mines.

Most - if not all - of the materials for the new batteries are available by "evaporative" mining...like we get salt from ocean water.

Beware. The FFC...the Fossil fuel consortium...is organizing a big anti-EV campaign. They are working hard to instill doubt in the progress of EV batteries.

I'm a 6 year owner of 2 teslas (one bought in 2013, traded in this past January for a late 2018). The posts I've made say that EV's will soon explode on the market. VW, Mercedes, and Ford will be the EV leaders soon - but Tesla will welcome the competition - and is likely to stay on top.

You "aint seen nothin' yet"...watch this.

@altschmerz Musk is also trying to avoid the poor 3rd world mining conditions involved with Cobalt; so he's pushing his scientists to make "cobalt-free" batteries.

I'm optimistic that batteries are going to get much better.

I don't see that catching on. Battery tech is growing in leaps and bounds. Totally electric trucks - the big rigs, the "semis"...have a range of 500 miles and a 0 to 60 with a full load faster than any I.C.E. truck.

@altschmerz Here's a video that captures the quiet, fast acceleration. Check the links above, or google Tesla Semi for details.
