I am part of a team working on developing a program to reclaim, reuse and recycle Lithium Ion Batteries. Anyone else working on this? I could share more.
Not involved myself, but the greatest honour to anyone involved in recycling, keep it up, and I hope it proves profitable.
Our plan is to organize a network of community-based worker cooperatives to gather the spent battery packs, disassemble them, capacity test the Lithium Ion cells and then construct new stationary storage products composed of the good cells. We have extensive experience organizing worker cooperatives and, are currently collaborating with a local university Engineering Dept to develop small scale manufacturing processes.Projects indicate that the program will both address a pressing environmental problem and generate significant local employment.
@Flying_Turtle I personally have access to many of these and would like to know how to fix them as they are expensive and replacing them is getting beyond my capacity to do so. If I knew how to do what you are describing I would do it. I hear that lithium is really poisonous.
