I've read the first four of the Charlie Fox series by Zoe Sharp. They are all very enjoyable suspense books. By first four, I meant read them in chronological order. I dont' believe they were written chronologically, as the first three may be prequils to the first book giving a lot more background to the character, so the fourth book, I believe was actually7 the first one written. Anywy, here is a link to a chronology list. [zoesharp.com]
The chracter of Charlie Fox is a woman who works as a body guard ( in the foiurth book). She served in teh armed forces, but was gang raped by some of her own squad. They manage to turn tables o her and hse is dishonorably discharged, but retains her deadly training which comes in handy because like most thriller protagonists she seems to run into a lot of trouble.
I seem to have a preference for stogn women protagonists. There aren't that many.
Anyway the books are really well written and plotted.
Enjoy!
