I've read most of his books. Unfortunately the book with the most promising title, "Practical Demon Keeping" was the one I enjoyed the least. Perhaps it was the long anticipation of the book being on back order for so long. Perhaps my expectations rose too high and the actual book just did nto match my anticipations.

I think it was his first published book, so perhaps it shows more flaws than his newer stuff. I haven’t read it in years.
@PenLOP On the brighter side,while waiting for "Practical Demon Keeping" to become available, I read most of his other books. It was that title that caught my eye. I may nhto have read his other better books if it was immediately available.
If it was his first effort, that would explain why it was not as good as his other books, and it is encouraging tht he has grown as a writer.
I have a signed first edition of Lamb that looks a Bible. I loved practical demonkeeping and a dirty job, but my second favorite, behind Lamb, is the stupidest angel. Haven't read noir yet. Still trying to find time to finish fool.

I love his world building. My favorite setting is Pine Cove, and yes, the Stupidest Angel is a fave of mine too! Fool is a bit tough, but if you know your Shakespeare, it’s not as big a struggle.
