Aloha. I'm glad I found this group. I've fished my entire life, mostly in Pa. I moved to Hawaii last year and I am enjoying the fishing here. I practiced micro-fishing for decades before I even knew it was a thing. Micro-fishing is deliberately targeting small fish with the intention of catching as many different species as one can. The fish pictured are blackchin tilapia, green molly, and Hawaiian squirrelfish.
bait or net? is there a code?
They where caught using saltwater Gulp and a size 15 hook on a telescopic panfish pole. The first two were from a freshwater canal and the squirrelfish from a tide pool.
Posted by CallMeDaveThis striped bass has sores on it. Is anyone here familiar with fish health? I'd like to think it was caused by a foul-hooked treble lure, but it appears more internal. Smith Mountain Lake, 5-3-20.

Posted by CallMeDaveToday's catch. 27 inch and a 37 inch. The 37 is (barely) a length citation here in VA. Back home before 6:30 am.
Posted by CallMeDave34", 15 lb striped bass this morning. Several good bites but I had trouble keeping them on. Once I landed this I rowed home. I wasn't carrying ice.
