I am currently nearly at the end of Mark Lawrence's Broken Empire trilogy. Prince of Thorns, King of Thorns and Emperor of Thorns (bit of a give away as to the end I am thinking) It is a bit disturbing, seems to be fantasy but also some Sci Fi elements (think of the Pern series) and a touch of dystopia. It jumps from the present to the past so you are reading two timelines as you go through the novel. It is not heavy going I got through the first novel in just under a day. (I have had some time off work) The last one is a bit thicker and I am back at work but am hoping to get it finished this weekend.
