Any coders here?
I've put together a new cheap version of a radiation scintillator counter. Tearing apart old webcams, and putting a hot source right up against the CCD chip and putting it in total darkness. And after playing with the signal some you end up with specks and trails as ionizing radiation hits the chip.
It basically just looks like diffuse static, its fun to watch (for a geek). Its cool, but I'd like to get more useful information out of it - to be able to collect and quantify the information. I am looking for software that could count the hits, time them, track the size of different hits, etc.
There may already software out there that would do this - if so I'm looking for tips. Or, I suspect this wouldn't be a big job for a programmer and I'll look for one to talk to.
Posted by racocn8I saw some articles on meteorite composition and ended up with this picture.
