I love the idea that we can "teleport our conciousness" by means of modern technologies like duo-/quad-copter drones. Really the extension of our senses for sight and hearing can be quite immersive (as long as you don't suffer from motion sickness!).
That neural networks, trained via reinforcement learning, can be "more accurate than traditional control methods used by commercial ...UAVs... for attitude control" is really exciting. Not quite all the way to effective dynamic back propagation algorithms than can yield fully functional automata, but definitely progress.

The "evolution" of progress for land based systems has been comparably remarkable, even if they use more traditional models and control systems.
Between "dreaming" machines and control systems that leverage neural networks, we might have Vulcan automata sooner than we know.
Who knows.... Those control systems might help revolutionize drone racing, and hopefully we'll be able to leverage them to explore new worlds one day.
