Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Starlings are prodigious...but aggressive. It's a good thing they like to eat pest insects...because they also have a habit of chasing away shyer, less aggressive species...
All the European Starlings in North America descended from 100 birds set loose in New York's Central Park in the early 1890s. The birds were intentionally released by a group who wanted America to have all the birds that Shakespeare ever mentioned.
Most American birders have little respect for them...
