I am a reluctantly retired chemist from the pharmaceutical industry. I have a BS in chemistry which I earned largely at night. I worked for a number of years as a medicinal chemist[drug discovery and sybthesis] Since I never got an advanced degree, I changed specialties to analytical chemistry, primarily methods development.

I enjoyed my work as a chemist and would rather be busy. As much as I enjoy playing bridge, it is a recreation and not a vocation.
