Man.I remember as a kid glued to the TV set watching all of the Apollo missions with such a sense of wonder, and awe. Watching Space-X do their thing all these years later. I feel like that kid again. Love this stuff.
I still have to pause at the thought that this thing is going roughly 17,000 MPH. The vid just doesn't reflect that.
I remember being almost glued to a computer working on Apollo heat transfer issues. As the vehicle traveled it had to roll slowly or the side that faced the sun would overheat. Today a laptop computer can do more than one of the room-size computers I used.
I still go outside and watch (from a distance)
A good friend of mine has a sweet telescope, and we get together some nights on the beach (away from city lights. We've been lucky to have seen some amazing sights. We take pictures here and there. I'll have to post some.
