I just got my solar energy production report for June. I produced nearly a megawatt. I also had about 3/4 of a ton of carbon offset. ??
Yeah, I can get a little geeked out about that stuff. ?
Hi - this is great.
In some of your comments you mention having 20 panels. Do you happen to know the power rating on each panel? If you produced nearly 1 MWh in a month, I'm going to wild guess you might have something like 5 kw total rated power (about 250 watts per panel) but I don't know what is the typical rating of watts per panel these days. I have about 2.7 kW across 16 panels, in my yard, not all the same kW rating, some about 10, some about 13 years old.
What type of inverter do you have?
I can’t seem to find my paperwork right now so I don’t know my per panel rate. All are the same & the company told me their supplier just released a more efficient model just before they ordered mine. So I’m guessing they were state of the art (at least for this company) about a year and a half ago.
And don’t know about the inverter. I did mine the easy/lazy way and just let the company I worked with figure it all out.
I just remembered, each panel has a microinverter incorporated into the panel & they’re parallel. So if one goes TU it doesn’t take down my whole array.
I also have solar (but only produce several kilowatts). My one big question is how much carbon did it take to produce the solar system?
Posted by kmazI recently had a couple of these signs made because sometimes in trying to make a plug available (or urge others to do so) there are some nuances that come up, such as you don't want to scare ...

Posted by JackPedigoI saw this today and even though it is a bit old it applies especially these days. It referenced the "boiling Frog Syndrome" which I have posted several times.

Posted by farmboy2017This is a one gallon olla used to irrigate garden plants. It works using capillary action. The vessel is porous and plant roots will wrap around it and drink from it!
