Wondering if anyone has had much experience with these? I have lived in caravans and sheds, even lived in my car in a shed. Another 10 weeks and I really hope I will be finished what I want/need to do with this house. Then I would like to build a tiny house in the back yard. Possibly to live in it myself. We are talking very tiny back yard here, which is already a food jungle. I want to develop something that will give people a sense of satisfaction, pleasant surrounds, great feel, but using minimal resources. Years ago I tried projects using large areas of land, that option is closed to me now. The mind has started working, look out.
The big obstacle to building in the back yard here in WA is Council regulations. At every stage there's an inspection and fees......that is if the zoning will allow it in the first place. But good luck!
Gee, that sounds a bit behind the time. NSW came out years back with a heap of restrictions, but have made a lot of exemptions now, due to aging population and high house prices. Under certain conditions approval is guaranteed and in other cases no development application is necessary.
Posted by kmazI recently had a couple of these signs made because sometimes in trying to make a plug available (or urge others to do so) there are some nuances that come up, such as you don't want to scare ...

Posted by JackPedigoI saw this today and even though it is a bit old it applies especially these days. It referenced the "boiling Frog Syndrome" which I have posted several times.

Posted by farmboy2017This is a one gallon olla used to irrigate garden plants. It works using capillary action. The vessel is porous and plant roots will wrap around it and drink from it!
Posted by farmboy2017I'm building a tiny house with an attached green house. It'll be off grid.
Posted by RugglesbySadly in suburbia these days, I did have a few acres on the coast a little further south 8 years back, sadly property settlements and so forth, so I start again - again - again.
