Someone on a T1 FB group I'm a member of (You know you're a Type 1 diabetic when...) posted "Does anyone else here struggle with religion after being diagnosed? I sure did."
I just responded, "No, atheist before, atheist after, life for everyone on this earth is full of ups and downs (but not in equal measure) regardless of their belief in any higher power. My personal opinion, of course."
Now preparing myself for backlash....
But there were MANY others proclaiming their devotion to their god, so felt it was important to have the nonbelievers represented as well.
