How many of you remember this memorable Russell Harty / Grace Jones encounter?
I was fond of Russel Harty, a good alternative to parkies over serious style and Wogan's frivolous tone.
Likable guy.
Grace Jone was always going to be troubling. Statuesque and impressive, talented and professional most of the time, anyone who openly admitted that her idea of foreplay with her then lover Dolph Lundgren was for the two of them to beat the living shit out of one another had to say the least a messed up sense of appropriate behaviour.
True...always volatile...like a cat ready to pounce. Harty was never going to be able to tame her! Too civil and polite!!
