As at midnight (Europe time) the pound is worth 1€ 20.39cts.
Obviously the money markets are optimistic that fiscal discipline will be relaxed.
This hope is augmented by the fact that Mark "Carnage" is coming to the end of his contract at the Bank of England.

I don’t follow the money markets...doesn’t sound like a good thing in the long run to have No 10 in an unchallengeable position.
@Marionville There are plus and minus sides to it. However, if you take the value of the Pound against the Euro over the past 20 years and average it, the figures hover around the 1.20 mark.
Seems the Fascist are winning at any cost everywhere now!!!

Rishi Sunak...appointed as new Chancellor! Yes..who’s he indeed...! MP for Richmond in Yorkshire, formerly the seat of William Hague. He’s been Chief Secretary to the Treasury since Javid became Chancellor. It’s widely seen as Number 10 annexing Number 11.
