I’ve just seen on the news here people queuing to get into Lidl to stock up because of the virus thing.

Is that fucked or have I just been out of the country for too long and this is normal behaviour now.

It is normal to want to design an " Isolation suit ' so that travel is possible and safe. Somewhere between a space suit and dungarees. I MUST BE ABNORMAL. photo please

it is normal to guess the future without being a prophet and without obsessing about it like alien-watch .

Stock up for self quarantine?

Panic buying is mainly driven by social media hysteria. Masks are only effective for a few minutes. They are actually more effective in preventing someone who already has the virus from passing it on.
Hand cleansing is actually more important. However, a mask can help to remind you not to touch your face.

The whole world has collectively lost perspective and common sense. I think 24/7 bombardment with news/fake news, and information/disinformation has caused perpetual confusion, fear and information overload in the masses....perhaps the UK is just leading the vanguard of this, but I doubt it.

Thankfully the Australian pragmatism isn’t getting sucked into that one yet!

@Geoffrey51 Don’t worry...the natural don’t give a fuck attitude will succumb there eventually too!

@Marionville I’m sure it will. Must dash down to the local supermarket and buy up all the baked beans before anyone else does!

@Geoffrey51 Planning a “blazing saddles” moment later?
