I haven't heard a peep out of Boris for a couple of days now. Do you think he's really poorly with this virus?
Yes...I expect he is feeling unwell. Maybe they simply think it will undermine the government if we see him looking under the weather,
A possibility. It would not be good for UK morale were he to go into intensive care, and vying for the party leadership to start.
I have just seen him on BBC news looking even more disheveled than usual saying that testing is the answer to conquering the epidemic. Up to now the Govts. handling of the testing situation has been incompetent .
The last word to Frankie Boyle " I wouldn't be surprised if Boris declares himself dead until all this is over "
@Moravian I saw him last night to...he looked under the weather. The govt has been caught out on this testing...the S.Koreans and Germans got to grips with this virus weeks ago by testing, testing, testing! That was the WHO advice...but for some reason we didn’t in fall into line with that....now we are scrambling to catch up, because they say we haven’t got the chemicals required ! What is it about Britain that it can only react to something and never have the foresight to plan ahead and be prepared....and frankly I don’t really think Labour in power would’ve made much difference, it’s a national characteristic!
If this is true , the Govt advisors got it totally wrong. There is reportedly a shortage of chemicals and yet a UK company is reportedly selling millions of testing kits abroad.
There was a story some weeks ago about a small town in Italy with a population of around 3000 where they tested everyone and isolated those who were asymptomatic and it stopped the spread of the virus. Obviously this would not be possible on a national scale but do those people not keep abreast of what is happening around the world.
@Moravian My insider information indicates this to be true. Two quarters of economic depression with the bonus of a reduction of elderly pensioners whom th UK cannot afford to keep with an equal reduction of lower class vulnerable excess people. Cheap money to borrow and a closure of the EU's borders.
Brexit wet dream unless you happen to be a human who is caught up in the sharp end.
@Moravian Sounds about right..from our own observations as citizens...the sight of Dominic Cummings scurrying down Downing Street the day it was announced that Boris had the virus, and then the ramping up of the talk of testing to 25;000 per day by govt spokesmen followed rapidly. They had downplayed the efficacy of testing up until then.
@Moravian I don’t believe in conspiracy theories, however I do believe that Dominic Cummings is a malign and sinister individual who has a Svengali like influence on this present government!

Posted by MattHardyA Boris promise is just a lie that hasn't happened yet. Whatever Sue Grey says, no way is Boris going to admit he lied and resign.

Posted by webspider555I’m beginning to wonder whether our government is just incompetent or are all these things happening just to get us in a rage arguing amongst ourselves.
