Interesting article on The Atlantic about the religiosity of many agnostics. I am a humanist, non-theist, religious person as a committed UU. I didn’t click “religious” on my bio because Agnostics.com defines religious as believing that some gods must be worshipped. UUism doesn’t have such a creedo or expectation. I wonder whether @Admin might consider redefining the term? What might we suggest instead? Merriam-Webster’s second definition is “of, relating to or devoted to religious beliefs or observances.” Does that work for you? [theatlantic.com] #religion #communitysenate #liberalagnostic #philosophy
I am also a non-theist. I don't know if there is a god(s) and I don't care what label others put on me. I call myself agnostic, atheist, non-believer, secular. The words don't count. I am just a person who does not like organized religion.
Gotcha. But many of us do, and we enjoy progressive religious communities where theism isn’t required. Trying to broaden the definition.
