I can't find the proper group for this so... I am binging Star Trek Enterprise and they decide to visit a Vulcan monastery. The Vulcan people who are so proud of their logic have monasteries? Having a monastery implies religion, which implies belief in a higher being. This requires a leap of faith which defies logic. Is my belief that there is nothing out there lousing up my suspension of disbelief?

Introspection and an uncluttered area for an uncluttered mind are supremely logical.

Well, the monastery was a cover for a listening post, THAT part is logical. According to canon, Vulcans were once as we are now, and that includes religion, however in the case of this, I believe it is a place purely for deep meditation.
