Haha! I actually work at a police station so I used phone number one to talk to the chief! No kidding!

But here are pictures of my first personal cell phone...
Yes I kept it!

#5. That Motorola StarTAC flip phone. I thought it was cool as shit until I realized the battery only lasted for about 20 minutes worth of talk time. Texting wasn't even a thing yet. And the signal sucked.

Yup! And my kids were begging me for a phone in 1999. I remember saying, " There is no way we can afford $49.99 for a phone!" ... That would be wonderful today!

Me personally, 10. My parents had a bag phone when I was little though.

I had one in a bag, even though better models were out by that time.

My husband was an idiot Luddite.

I used #1 for work back in the day. It wasn't mine, those were too expensive for me to buy. It had an antenna that magnetically attached to the vehicle roof and a cable that ran into the car for use while driving. My first personal cell phone was a #4.

I used no. 1 for work too. I couldn't afford those or the $3.00/minute rates either. It also didn't get a signal any time I actually needed it. 😀

I had a Motorola bag phone with a lead acid mini-battery. I still have the phone as an antique. So it might predate all of those in your picture.
