If you get a chance, a tour of the canal is interesting...mostly the Mira Flores locks...Bridge of Americas spans some beautiful waterways...will you be there long enough to go to the San Blas Islands? The native Kuna are incredibly interesting ... try iguana on a stick, cerviche, empanadas, plantain, ginups, and local cuisine...all more different than what we get here...I spent 4 years in Panama and loved it.

@erthnyc Have a wonderful trip! Enjoy the people...they are open to friendship and will point you to things to do if you don't want the normal "touristy" things...you can cover a lot in three days, but the locks would be my choice since they are unique...
