Off to Oktoberfest in Munich!
We leave in just a few days - flying into Zurich, train to Munich, a few days there before catching a sleeper train to Belgium. We were supposed to spend a few days there and then fly home from Brussels, but we booked on Thomas Cook - so it appears that we'll be taking another train to Paris and flying back from there. Ah well - there are worse things than a forced night in Paris!

I knew they'd been having a rough time of it, but it didn't even seem possible that they'd go under.
Fortunately, we're pretty flexible travelers. It's going to cost us a good bit more money, and we'll be flying back in truly uncomfortable seats, but not that's not nearly enough to let it ruin a bucket list trip.
