Anyone here have experience with cruises? I've always wanted to try one out but I literally know nothing about them. Whats a good resource for finding one I'll enjoy and can afford?
I've done several of the huge ships and last summer discovered windstar lines. Much smaller. Holds around 200 passengers lots of individual service. We cruised around Iceland
I've never realized they had such an impact on the environment! That sucks... :/ I also don't drink which, I am told, is something quite prevalent on cruises.
I’ve been on three big ship cruises for family gatherings and disliked them. They are crowded, environmentally damaging, boring and expensive.
If you like the water, try a river tour on a smaller boat or a short cruise as someone else suggested.
That said, most travel agents can help you find the right trip to suit your interests and budget.
I sometimes hanker after a cruise on one of those huge city ships you see invading beautiful harbours. But I think after 2 days I'd be bored. Sorry can't help you!
