It depends on what you like, where you've been, what you would like to repeat, the time for and timing of your trip, how much zig-zag you can tolerate, where you plan to overnight and where in California? There are too many variables. Before I could pencil you a route, I would have to know how important fishing is to you. You should consider buying the $80 annual pass. The cost to visit with your car to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone jumps to $35 each on June 1.

No fishing. Scenic geography, no amusement parks or fairs, no three-day stretches or endless highway. Inhave 16 weeks and need to hit Vancouver and Spokane at some point.
@UUNJ Hot-Damn, 16 Weeks! What a great trip. Sta. Fe, Mesa Verde, Southern Utah, Grand Canyon (North Side) up the Sierras to Yosemite be sure to see Glacier and Yellowstone on your return.
