Well Jasbo,
Methink you know
what we here fo'
but won'ts be telling us.
Can't your little meower talk?
You look at me
wif dem big eyes
all knowing everything,
all greeny yellow brown,
like you can read the labels on my clothes
right through my thicky body.
You sly alright.
You got all the catness of the universe
right there in your little furry body.
The way you swish your little tail prehensile
when your name is said;
or even just "cat."
How you know that?
So 'fess up little cats man,
tell us all about this funny world,
and how you sent here
to keep an eye on me;
and what Blake or even Einstein
was talking the hell about;
or everybody and their brother
all do such silly thing.
Could from your tidy mouth spring
such as that, I'd have me a cat
could make a million bucks.
But shucks,
you don't be talkin'.
You just keep it all up there
in that knucklehead of yours,
and look at me with space time in your eye.

Makes you wonder if cats have a perception aptitude that we have yet to discover. As I type this one of my cats is chasing something seemingly invisible in the middle of the room. It is no wonder why the Egyptians worshipped cats. I enjoyed your write.

The "Talking to the Cat" poems were a way for me to get loose and silly, using talk and other such nonsense.
This site messes with my line indentations, which kind of bothers me, but I guess I'll have to live with it.
