Silly People
Silly people got the big bombs
Silly people got a lot of money too
Silly people want a lot more
Silly people think money grows money
Silly people not gonna want to live in the world they made
With their paper riches
They gonna get slapped silly
Silly people think they’re gonna rule the world
Silly people gonna rule ashes
And cinders
And piles of bodies
And trees growing through the tarmac
And waves on 5th Ave.
And all of us cannibals coming uptown
To eat them
Eating them won’t feel like justice
A little less hunger for a little while
Then we gotta eat more
Silly people got everything right now
They got me and they got you
(you’re got, you know you’re got, right?)
Silly people pay one half of us to control the other half
Silly people pay one half of us to kill the other half
Pay one half to hold the promissary notes
One half to foreclose
To starve
To shoot
There is always someone to enslave
And new ways to do it
Silly people aren’t going to like the world they bought with all their money
They think we’re animals now but they have never seen us hungry
Not as hungry as we are going to be
