My Mothers Day Poem
People say I don't love you
but I know it's not true
cuz whenever I see my psychiatrist
all we talk about is you
I can relate to this from the mother side of the equation. Whenever I did something non-traditional when my daughter was growing up, I'd think to myself, "Well, that's another story for her therapist." (Some days I probably put the psychiatrist's kids through college.)
I can relate to that too. My kid had no clue what normal meant. Lol
@CreativelyMe We're the best Moms ever!
Suggestion to replace Line 3:
"Cuz at my psychiatrist's cue"
Except I do not need to be "cued".
@FrayedBear What? I do not even understand what you are trying to say. Please reword it. Who doesn't have manners and cannot stop talking? I hope you are not talking about me because that is one heck of a conclusion to make over a poem. And what is that last sentence?
@CreativelyMe You state that you do not need to be cued. To me in the context of psychiatric consultation poetically cued means being invited to speak. You state that you have poetically speaking verbal diarrhoea on the floor without invitation. ?
@FrayedBear So if I need to talk about something I must be invited to or I have no manners? I pay them they do not pay me. Considering the fact that you have no clue what-so-ever what I do discuss or in what context I would have to say it is you that is lacking manners. It was a poem. It was a joke and you turned it into an issue with which to attack me over so please find yourself a mirror and do some reflecting because you have absolutely NO RIGHT to make all or nothing assumptions about anyone. Talking about the issues in my life to a paid professional should not need an invitation. I am an adult. I know what I need help with. I am not a child that requires someone to invite me to speak and truly do not understand why anyone would give their voice up to wait for a cue. That is by far the most ludicrous comment I have heard so far. I don;t know if you think you need permission to speak but you certainly have no place making conclusions about me or anyone else and should be ashamed of your attack on me. UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE! So damn rude but I LACK MANNERS?
Posted by EntheogenFanI wrote this about a crazy girl who I loved like crazy. She made my entire life feel like insanity.
