When word of Queen’s iconic frontman Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991 was announced, there was an outpouring of sadness around the world. Freddie was one of a kind…a genuinely unique and irreplaceable talent and a born showman, who was adored by music fans and respected and admired by his fellow artists. Morten Harket was a great admirer and appreciator of Freddie’s talent, and was in Le Figaro his restaurant in Oslo when he heard the news…he was requested to sing something in tribute, and he stepped up and gave this totally unrehearsed and impromptu rendition of Love Of My Life.
