My favourite guitarist…the Geordie Lad, Mark Knopfler. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1949 to Hungarian father who fled from the Nazis and English mother from Newcastle on Tyne, where he was raised from age seven…hence the “Geordie Lad” epithet. He was founder and lead guitarist & singer with chart-topping rock band Dire Straits from 1977-1995. Since then he’s been performing as a solo artist and composer and here he performs live on NRK the Norwegian TV network in 2000. - Baloney Again…
