We all have favourite singers, Italian superstar Laura Pausini is one of mine…and of course we have favourite songs from these singers too, and La Solitudine is certainly amongst my favourites from Laura. The song, which translated into English is ‘The Loneliness’, was written by Federico Cavalli & Pietro Cremonesi for Laura to sing in the 1993 San Remo Song Festival …it won first place and it went on to be an international hit, Laura also recording different versions of it in Spanish and English.
Last night I posted the original 1993 recording in Music Fans group. but later, in 2013 Laura made a new version with orchestration by Italian maestro Ennio Morricone which is the one I’m posting…also a beautiful stand alone Morricine orchestral version with stunning aerial views of Italy….

She has rapidly become a favorite of mine thanks to you Marje!! 😘 This song is beautiful.

The views of Italy in the second video are wonderful, as is the music!!

Yes…they’re really beautiful. I love Italy, although it’s some years since I’ve visited it.

@Marionville I have never been to Italy but would love to go someday.

@Redheadedgammy I hope you get your wish Rhonda.
