Everybody remembers that iconic Take On Me music video shown initially on MTV which helped to launch Norwegian band a-ha into music history in 1985…but of course it was only the first of many innovative MVs which accompanied their singles. They actually released 4 singles from that 1985 debut album (Hunting High and Low), and this was the 4th one with its video which like Take On Me used rotoscoped cartoon characters created by Mike Patterson & Candace Reckinger. Like the other three singles it also was a hit for the band, charting at #8 in the U.K.

It’s also notable for featuring the Peruvian Zampona, an Andean instrument similar to pan flutes, and like all a-ha’s songs it has a timeless quality, and looks and sounds as good today as it did 40 years ago…
