Inspired by a Norwegian fairytale - East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon was the title of a-ha’s fourth studio album, released in 1990. The title track was written by a-ha guitarist and main songwriter Pal Waaktaar-Savoy (he hyphenated his surname by adding his US wife Lauren’s surname to his when they got married). This live version is superb, surpassing even the album track, and was part of a live session in the NRK TV studios as part of a documentary about the band and their career to date at that time shown on Norwegian TV in 1991.
