In 2008 a Japanese film called Departures won the Academy Award for the best foreign language film at the Oscars. The soundtrack was by Joe Hisaishi and this excerpt is called Okuribito (Memory)….

Yes…I enjoyed it very much too.
It took me quite a while to watch it but I finally got to hear the soundtrack this way (the soundtrack itself wasn't available at the library). I'm pleased that both were simply lovely, and there may have been some tears shed. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I might even watch it again this weekend before returning it.
