Listening to that one song -- "Weightless" -- resulted in a striking 65 percent reduction in participants' overall anxiety, and a 35 percent reduction in their usual physiological resting rates. - According to Mindlab International's research.

It is also supposed to help you sleep.

Marconi Union designed the song in collaboration with sound therapists. Its carefully arranged harmonies, rhythms, and bass lines help slow a listener's heart rate, reduce blood pressure and lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

What do you think?

I've witnessed this calm a whole group of stressed, anxious people.

This is my main "jam" when I need a bit of assistance to re-center and just be.

I think especially if you have experienced these sounds in nature it is very calming to revisit. And I love loons!

i like. relaxing, slowing, and full of buttery goodness. it seems like the music became a backdrop for imagination.

I've tried to listen to these relaxation melodies, but I always fall asleep. Do they get any better toward then end?

I played that for two nights while I slept, worst sleep ever and my anxiety went sky high. That doesn't work for me and I wish it did.

@silvereyes I haven't tried any. I have Spotify and I used to play Music For Concentration at work, but continual switching from headphone for Spotify to headphones for telephone was just too annoying.

Maybe I'll have to try it out tonight.

I've listened to this before. I think there's a really long extended version too. I really didn't notice the claimed affects but I liked it. It's got a good beat and you can meditate to it 😉

I prefer Pink Floyd
