I was recently reminded that on Monday I had to point out to a women whingeing that her staff were not being respected that respect is earned not automatically given. And in her employees cases, inferior & frequently injurious & ignorant behaviour is not going to garner respect.
If someone offers advice to you because they know more efficient ways of accomplishing a task it is not an insult nor a reflection on your stupidity - stupidity becomes self evident when you do not implement the suggestion. A reflection on your training & education yes.
Furthermore a simple thank you to the advisor prevents you from further having your standing & reputation from being devalued by the advisor.
What is it with Snowflakes? Can you please elaborate on that.
@FrayedBear I think it is about time you stop using the word snowflake in a derogatory manner. Those so called Snowflakes are the very people who care for every body's welfare not only the well to do ones.
@Jolanta in WWII the expression used against recruit conscripts sent to fight inPNG was "Chokos" - "You'll melt in the heat of battle choko". They didn't and saved Australia from Japanese invasion. They were proud of their "Choko" epithet. They however proved themselves. Have the snowflakes?
The other day after hearing my voice for the first time someone asked another person if I was a "Pom". A matter totally irrelevant to tenancy. I will eventually, at the right moment, ask if the person also asked if I am a "nigger".
There are many so called experts who have no clue how to present their cases and rather belittle and scream at people.
In this case my landlord's agent who for upto fifteen months has exposed me to danger through faulty fire detection equipment.
