HOW THEY MARCH ...

The Army marches left-right, left-right, left-right ...

The L/NP marches right-right, right-right, right-right ... and it looks as if Peter Potatohead Dutton is going to be the front of the column.

Yes I read they want to go back to their 'conservative' roots now their so-called moderates were routed in the election. That's spiralling out of reality. I'd be the last one to give helpful advice to them, but Australians respond to progressive on social issues but cautious on spending and financial management. If they go loopy Right like Dutton, who is absolutely wrong for this time, they won't connect. Let them go loopy Right. It's their funeral. They're not reading the election outcome correctly. Their moderates got toasted because they were weak in the party against the far right. Hence the independents got in. Going far right is completely missing the message.

Agreed. I see Peter Dutton as leading the entirety of the L/NP into oblivion. I see people such as Angus Taylor ( [agnostic.com] ) as aiding and abetting Peter Dutton in that regard.

The question then becomes one of "Who will fill the resulting political vacuum?".
