Russian consumers pay on average $0.04 per kWh. My last bill from Energy Australia charged me $0.3775860 per kWh PLUS a Flexi Saver Supply Charge per day of $1.535050 per day

In comparison to the reported Russian charge oof an average $0.04 (presumed $US) per kWh. I've used $AU00.05 which results in the Australian price being 9.4 greater than the Russian price & excluding the exorbitant delivery cost of $1.53505 per day. Incidentally wind turbine power for about ten times the number of consumers in my remote area is generated only 30 kilometres distant. We supposedly do not get any of it as it is sent to the politicians & residents in Canberra more than 1000 kilometres away!

Russian electricity ten times cheaper than in UK – banker [rt.com]

Perhaps we should be saying "let's buy our power from Russia not the absurdly called Energy Australia, a Chinese owned company"?

In my area of Missouri I do not watch KW hours but I do know how to conserve electricity. A few years ago the electric company did the third change of my electric meter. I was told that the problem is my bills being so much cheaper than my neighbors. First off, I am not my neighbor. Secondly, my average bill in an all electric setting is $72 or so. My new bill to pay this month is $78. In winter I can get up to $212 and I average $100 or less in the summer. My secret is to use common sense while many people are stupid. I have an air conditioner. I do not have a "cold machine." For some reason people want to be very cold in summer and extremely hot in winter.

I once had similar with water. They were obviously convinced that I had plumbed into the mains to bypass the meter so they sent the bloke out with the backhoe to prove it.
Of course he never did because it didn't exist. In the process however he ripped up a telephone cable carrying 30,000 telephone lines. . . The Australian response was probably "she'll be right!"
That's what conditioned stupidity & xenophobia does for you!
