PAGE TURNER?
THE scenery in the show is quite a large
factor.
It is a page turner indeed !!! If you let the characters grow then it's a pleasant ride....until they get killed. That's why it's a good idea to love more than one
@BBJong I used to read mostly biographies when I was younger, I wanted to learn and perhaps live experiences through certain characters book story. As I keep growing old, things started to change not too long ago where I have opened the opportunity to learn fantasy stuff like this books, certainly I am not going to learn anything useful or valuable but the mental journey as an exercise has been quite something. At this late, if I learn something new or not, it doesn't matter much anymore.
Dance of Dragons is most like the HBO series.
That's the fifth book..... I'll get there when I get there. Now on to book number two.
@IamNobody You really have to love detail to enjoy this series. The Dance of Dragons, for example, is 1110 pages of small print. I've met a number of people who never got past the first book, or say that they have been meaning to read the series, but never seem to find the time.
@Heraclitus I do like the story. Actually I don't get restless while reading. The level of detail in the books (so far) really entertain me. Getting started on book two. Perhaps I should post a picture of the brand new cover to compare the before and after. They are fat books, takes a lot of handling to go through them.

Posted by ReignmondA highly biased selection.
Posted by ReignmondI read this back in 2018. Absolutely loved it. It is an oddly small sized book, so it is good to travel with. [amazon.com]

Posted by ReignmondActually read this some time ago (46 years) while trying to figure out why I simply could not believe in Jesus or God or anything else I was being told by Bible Thumpers.
