Hi all! Just finished 2 light reads and thought I'd comment on them. First Always Look On the Bright Side A Sortabiography by Eric Idle Quick, fun read with dozens of witty anecdotes. A lot of Britain references which are simply lost on an American ...

If you are interested in understanding why our society has deteriorated politically and economically, I recommend Democracy in Chains by Nancy MacLean. She documents the turn towards the Libertarian-inspired Neoliberal Age of Austerity in which we ...

Looking again at this book reminds me that I wanted to re-listen to it again. It is that good and instructive of our Nation's procedural institutions. The author's engaging dialogue is highlight of what ordinarily a dull subject.

A short Sci-Fi that is quite good even though it will only take about an hour to read. It is also kinda cheap.

For Bi-centenial of Bronte's Wuthering Heights here are 20 best quotes from the book. For many years it was my fav book. Such passion as words lept from the pages. Now I'm a withered up cynic and conclude Heathcliffe and Cathy were co-dependent. ...

I read this back in about 1983. Phenomenal book! Chapters alternate between a Sci-Fi story of an Ark spaceship and the problems that occur on their journey, and the earth-bound science behind the problem.
